It is a well agreed upon fact among tour guides that the beloved front opening of our ACDC was featured in the hit film "Muppets Take Manhattan" (1984)
This kind of product placement in a high budget kind of film really questions the integrity of the film institute in which these "muppets" graduated from. Furthermore, the mere connotation of "muppets" to our DC presupposes the 3rd party view on our insular community and undermines our standards of yum-yums. To allow non-members of our community to judge our DC food questions the validity of our dining institutions. Are we all just "muppets" lost on an island [a la manhattan clam chowder]? To question authority is to lose the game.
DC food is delicious, and no muppet will take that away from me.
